Light's Child: By Fire Be Purged

When I'm sick and tired of making art stuff for school and / or work, I take a break by making art stuff for myself. How about that?

This one was sitting around for a while, after attempting to tackle an anatomy issue unsuccessfully (due to a critical lack of will, at the time).
...Going through the final week of the quarter at school, I stumbled upon the half finished *this*, and with a refreshed look on it decided it would be a good time to finish it up (rather then letting it rot in the oblivion that is my unfinished artworks club).
I like drawing fire and effects and cool stuff like that. T'is fun, and I'm pretty happy with it here.
Before us we have our friendly neighborhood Lighty showing off his [not so] brand new, completely un-generic [lies] flame dagger, a blade so searing hot, it chars the shadows and.. and...
Well, it's pretty freaking hot, which might make one wonder how does one hold the thing and keep a nice factory grin across the face.
